Master Boucher has 35 years of Tae Kwon Do training. She is a 5th degree black belt and the Master Instructor at the Dae Han school in Woodstock, GA.
Tae Kwon Do is a way of life for Master Boucher. She has had the benefit of continued and consistent training during her 35 years of studying this martial art. She has said she owes a great deal of her happiness to Tae Kwon Do. Once she understood the principles and how they applied to her life, she was transformed in a positive way. She is surrounded by supportive and caring people who have become lifelong friends.
Master Boucher has the privilege of training a diverse group of students. She provides the perspective; “From the 4-year-old that thinks I’m so powerful that I could chop a house in two to the 55-year-old man that thanked me for helping him improve physically, all of the students that come to Dae Han have a different reason for coming to us.” She practices something Master Seo instills in all of his instructors, “Every student is an individual. Therefore, treat him/her as is, so as to better understand their needs.” Following his belief, Master Boucher practices patience and understanding when working with each of her students.
Master Seo has been a great inspiration for her. Not only as her master, but also as her mentor. Although she has attained ‘Master’ status, she is continually training with Master Seo. This is an art that requires life long discipline and training. THere is never a point where a student stops learning. In traditional Tae Kwon Do, the head master will continue training with her/her master instructors so the quality of the instruciton offered by the school is maintained. Tradition is passed down from master to student. These traditions are important in maintaining the integrity of traditional Tae Kwon Do.
